Alpha stage

Alpha development is a stage that is usually full of bugs and has very few of the features that will eventually be included. Though this is usually a stage of testing, close-knit communities have developed in various MMORPGs during this stage.

SGU Alpha Release

The first Alpha release of SGU will likely be a very featureless demonstration of what it can be. Some things that it is our goal to include as soon as possible are:

• A multiplayer architecture with room for a community.
  This includes a chat system and various actions such as trading. We see this as a crucial part of SGU, for without a community we won't get anywhere.
• Some character customization.
  It has been said by many that most MMORPGs lack this gravely. We encourage you to create a unique character that reflects your personality. Though this will be added to some extent in Alpha, you can expect it to be updated and upgraded in later releases. Our goal with this is to enable our players to customize their characters to the point where no 2 characters look alike.
